Ceywater Consultants was established in 1983 by two Professional Engineers as a partnership firm for provision of engineering consultancy services in water supply and sanitary engineering.

Ceywater has since expanded its activities in the civil engineering field and taken part in many prestigious consultancy projects funded by donor agencies such as ADB, USAID, JICA, World Bank, JBIC (OECF), KfW, NORAD, UNICEF, JICKWELLS The firm was incorporated as a private limited liability company in 1991. The company operates from their own 4-storied building in the suburbs of Colombo with more than 100 professionals and support personnel in Head Office and operational offices scattered in a number of districts in Sri Lanka . Ceywater continues to build on past experience to engineer a positive and a fruitful future for our clients.

Ceywater is registered as an Engineering Consultant with Asian Development Bank and with almost all the National Agencies in Sri Lanka . The company has undertaken works throughout the Island specially in water sector for the National Water Supply & Drainage Board and Urban Local Authorities (ULAs) and in Urban Infrastructure Development and Capacity Building for the ULAs through Ministry of Housing & Estate Infrastructure, Urban Development Authority and Board of Investment in Sri Lanka .

In 1992, Ceywater broadened its scope of service by adding to its staff, locally and internationally experienced and qualified Water Supply and Sanitation, Highway and Infrastructure Engineers, Architects and Planners.

Ceywater is now capable of undertaking large multifaceted civil engineering projects including project management consultancy, planning, design and contract management of large water supply and building projects and infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, storm water drainage and sewerage.

There are fifteen Engineers permanently attached to the firm. All have extensive experience in support of Ceywater activities. Several other Professionals of various disciplines such as Urban Planners, Quantity Surveyors, Hydrologists, Geologists, Economic/Financial Analysts, Trainers, Community Development Specialists, Sociologists, Benefit Monitoring and Evaluation Specialists, Environmental Specialists, Procurement Specialists, Lawyers, Institutional Development Specialists, Municipal Administration Specialists, Land Management Specialists, Software Developers, Mapping Experts and other Specialists of every conceivable discipline are available to provide any kind of consultancy services to a discerning Client..
