• Stock is automatically updated by ‘goods received’ transactions and ‘sales entry’.

Design Architecture

• Client End

• Database

The client end is developed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 and the database is designed on SQL Server 2000. SQL Server is a robust high performance database which can handle high volumes of data.

The application is designed based on the 3-tire architecture where the business logic is performed at the database on Stored Procedures. This simplifies the client operations and make the system more scalable.

This design helps to connect many users simultaneously to the system, while maintaining security.
